ST. LUCIE COUNTY EASL 3616 RETIREES CHAPTER
A Message From Your EASL 3616 Retirees Chapter President
Welcome to the wonderful world of RETIREMENT. During this next step in your life, you will be able to do some very amazing things and meet new friends. All you have to do is join the EASL 3616 Retirees Chapter.
By joining our local Retirees chapter you will be able to maintain your NEA, FEA, and AFT benefits that only members can use. We are actively involved with our State organization, FEA, Florida Education Association. Our retirees’ chapter gives back to our community by being involved to help others. We support Special Olympics, Tiger Cope, New Teacher Orientation, New Support personnel, and helping in the local office when needed. We will continue our project of the New Teacher Supply Depot - gently used and new supplies and manipulatives. If you have anything you would like to donate, please contact the union office or Cynthia Poole at (772) 519-0697.
We also have a fun side, we take short field trips, have “Dutch Treat Luncheon”, at local restaurants. We also have special speakers who address us on different topics. We all have become family to each other and are enjoying our new friendships.
Our Union Dues are very reasonable; for one year your dues are $75.00 and this includes all of your benefits. Our fiscal year starts on September 1st through August 31st. All dues need to be paid by August 1st.
The Retirees Chapters meet once a month on the second Wednesday of the month at 11:00 a.m. Monthly emails will be sent out with the location of the meeting. We look forward to meeting you and have you as a new member. Hope to see you soon.
If you have any questions regarding our Retirees Chapter, you can reach me at
(772) 519-0697, [email protected], or call the Union Office at (772) 464-6430.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Poole
